If your bathroom is looking a bit tired and drab, you might be thinking it’s time for a design overhaul as spring approaches. However, most of us don’t have the budget for a full refurb of our bathroom, so how can you update your space without splashing the cash? Well, we have a few ideas of small, budget-friendly changes you can make to your bathroom to breathe new life into the room.
Retiling your bathroom is a great way to refresh the room, however new tiles for the entire space can be costly. So why not consider adding in some statement tiles? You could try a patterned boarder around the room or a statement colour splash back behind the basin. That way, you’ll need fewer tiles but you can still make a big design impact.
If new tiles are beyond your budget, then why not consider giving your bathroom a fresh lick of paint? Once again, you don’t necessarily need to repaint the entire room, although this will come in cheaper than retiling. You can create a feature by choosing one wall to paint in a bold colour, and then you can continue the colour scheme throughout your bathroom accessories to bring the room design together.
If your bath and/or shower are looking a little dated but you don’t want to have to replace the entire thing, a great alternative is to consider replacing your taps or showerhead. Installing some new shiny chrome mixer taps or a waterfall showerhead will give your bathroom a modern makeover without the price tag of a whole new suite.
Probably the easiest and cheapest option to refresh your bathroom décor is to get accessorizing! A quality shower curtain for example will give your bathroom a luxury spa feel, or how about a vibrant pattern for a more eclectic look? You can also get items such as soap dispensers, toothbrush holders and other storage items in a variety of different styles, meaning you can update your décor on even the smallest of budgets.
